you can add your spouses before an I-485 is approved. Once its approved, then you are in trouble. These dates are current only temporarily, and retrogression ("severe" as per the bulletin) is expected again soon. So go ahead and file your I-485 right now if your PD is 'late' (2006 or so) you will probably be on EAD/AP for a while.
if your PD is 2003/2004/2005, then as soon as 485 filing is done, start looking for your life partner :)

Now the question is what if (I know a big IF), but what if, I apply for my 485 (hoping that my 485 will be on EAD/AP for a long time) BUT my 485 gets approved rather quickly and I am not able to marry before that happens -- do I have *any* way to tackle that issue? Juist to prove the original posters point about IV being intolerant about different points of view and the trigger happy attitude of some members about giving a red dots just because someone else speaks his point of view - I got a very personal and abusive remark with a red dot just for my post above. Not that I really care about Red or Green dots. My GC journey is over. This forum helped me a great deal when I was waiting for my GC. Now I am hear to help others with what I know in their GC pursuit and help with any on going action items. Just wish some members here would grow up and learn to live and let live! :)

3. In worst case, during the judgment time they will consider your family, two kids. They are not heartless people and it�s just an accident. That guy must be insane to ask 3.25 million. I couldn�t believe the whiplash injury especially when the damage was <$1500. I just assume the impact must be very minimal.
My advice is, don�t lose your hope and sleep. You insurance company is there with you to defend. Keep in touch with them and respond promptly to court notice or any letters. You do not need to withdraw your GC. Worst case if everything goes against you declare bankruptcy and leave the country legally. So if you want to come back in the future, you won�t have much problem.
When you don�t have anything to lose�why do you worry. Keep it cool and every thing will be fine. Seems like those guys wanted to have retirement with your money.

3. I agree 3 + million is absolutely unreal. Try and settle this before it goes to trial for a nominal amount.

Dude, You might be a new entry in to the ball of Immigration now. As said earlier , every one is free to judge and post the queries. If IV is shutting door of any questions you wouldnt have seen forum threads. There is enough discussion and direction taken on information being released to ALL members. Why one should complain IV not doing anything ?
here are some atleast, immaterial you agree or not:
1. If ppl are reaping benefits of EAD for multiple years , its becoz of IV.
2. whole of July fiasco was a win becoz of IV , not sure whether you are in the boat, but i can see the pain and how IV helped all of us.
3. all the admin fixes were co-ordinated by IV ,
4. The list goes on.. those 3 above are just enough to prove the help an ORGANIZATION did with minimal resources. Also please note none of the core are full time IV , they are also ppl like you and me.
Reason one has donor forum is becoz they are trusted sources. How can one know that you are pro-immigrant or anti-immigrant.
You would see dialy or minutes updates on sites of anti-immigrants becoz they have dedicated members and number base is too high.
Again , no one is shutting door against you, looking at your post i see you are shutting door against yourself just becoz your idea of Fax through AILA is not acceptable as an IV agenda.
Do you know first of all what provisions in CIR 2007 were in there which would have broke the back of ppl on H1 and potential immigrants? Can you confirm which provisions of CIR 2009 if there be one will help you ? will you support CIR even if it says you have to go back to india in no time ? AILA never mentioned in first place whether it would support EB community.
Plain simple, we pay Dollars even to newspaper ... You dont want to contribute for your own cause but get info for free and prove that will raise for your own cause. Those newsletters are for your benefit and collectively for the whole community.

The last CIR was like a bill from hell for us Legals. You can be very sure the coming CIR is going to be like this too ( with the job enviroment so bad ) . Unless we see something concrete helping the EB community in any bill , supporting it doesn't make any sense.
I don't want the transfer of EB unused visas to FB visa category. As such they already have much more visas every year .

I am a July 2007 filer, so far i have never got finger prints on my EAD. First time i did not get a FP notice. I scheduled an info pass appointment and got my FP notice.. gave FP in Feb 2008. I got my first EAD in Oct 2007.
My latest EAD ( approved Jul 2010) does not have the finger prints on it. Last time I gave my FP was in June 2009 ( Notice sent by USICS ). Is that something to worry? Is it related to NC ?

Sadly, your ambitions are noble, but its a cruel world out there ... we can give a guestimate ... but no estimate ....and that too just to throw off the other side either way ... either to think that we are way ahead or to think that we are waaaaaaay behind ..... let them wrack their brains and use a calculator and some of their not-so-cheap-labor-math skills to find out where we are at for a change

Frankly our opponents pump in millions of dollars into their effort. Maybe one of these days we can compete with them monetarily. But all I know is they can get millions of dollars but not 25000 committed members.
Hence IMHO we disclose our goals. We disclose our costs up front. We have nothing to hide.

Logiclife, I am sorry you are wrong.You don't need to post hour by hour update, but the update you posted today on Aman's meetings , help people to understand what really IV is doing and are necessary atleast once a fortnight.I am sure you are working in a corporate world and drive projects.The first rule on driving a big project is status meetings once every week.This helps all the stakeholders.

Yes, only some progressive companies with progressive thoughts will actually do something. As such, only progressive politicians will do something about.
Rest, they don't care. If they get someone (Citizen, H1b, L1, b1) anything they will get their work done. In big companies the issue is with heirarchy. You superior would love to do something for you because you work hard and get him good name but then managements are not like that. They are selfish. They would like to cut costs and if possible they would love to see your job going overseas ASAP after keeping you as contractor tillwork gets done. These companies will never change. Never rely on such companies.
Mid sized companies with energetic entreprenuers who have progressive ideas and thoughts would actualy fit our cause. They see you as an integral part of the organization and would like to help.
About DL: it is crazy. I made 5 visits to DMV CT to get my out of State DL renewed.

Every bank is here to make money. I do transfer money through SBI and ICICI , didn't find any difference as far as rates are concerned. Services at ICICI are much better than Sarkari SBI. At least you can do many things with ICICI by sitting here rather than SBI.
Switching is not a good option, What you gonna do if other bank also doing with you the same thing. I would suggest complain it with RBI whatever you are not satisfied with.
