We have just been told by reliable sources that the bill is being sent back to the Senate Judiciary committee where Frist and Specter will rework the language of the bill, starting April 24th.
All reasonable amendments will be worked into the bill text itself. Our amendments have a lot of support and the intent is to include them into the text of the bill.
So we need contributions going forward to get our requirements into the base text, and to protect them in conference with the House.

wife's SR yielded in a response of "assigned to an officer on 9/11" and my infopass today (9/15) also had the same result....so I guess its a waiting game for us! I tried normal "outside of processing window" method to file SRs but now learnt about getting to directly to talk to IO...will try that tomorrow - I wish I could bug them ay this hour :)

The questions are very very simple.

Both the AILA and USCIS are playing hide and seek. Who ever shows up first, basically looses. So both are still hiding and we are loosing our sleep. :)

Couple of points I disagree,
1. If we assume them as I485 apps, we also need to take Family numbers into account. So EB2 LCs can only be around 23000.
2. In 2007, Perm wasn't as hopeless as it is now. So people were getting LCs in less than 3 months.
So adding all these, here is my break up

I don't think there's a difference in time for EB-2, EB-3 or EB-1 labors. Its takes anywhere from 1 week to 2-3 months. My company filed 2 labors simultaneously one for me and one for a collegue. My friend's got approved next day(less than 24 hrs) mine took 70-80 days.

If you believe IGNOU or Univ of Pheonix are fraudulent, Please provide proof of this and also report to USCIS.

You might look down on certain universities or degrees but in the end employers care more about skill and experience and so does USCIS

However, in the past few years, Indian IT bodyshops have sent underskilled computer operators to the US to enhance their operating margins. This will come to end very soon and has to come to an end very soon. I think the process has already begun. Number of H1b visas rejected at Indian bodyshops have gone up. Operating margins at Infosys has shrunk significantly. Infosys and other bodyshops have seen stock price plummet drastically.
Companies such as Congizant have stopped bringing people from India on H1. Rather they are trying to hire people in the US who already have H1B visas. The illegals who have gotton their H1B from shady consultants in NJ, CA and elsewhere. Congizant is doing community service by legalizing illegals. The people who sat on the bench during recession while holding their H1B visas without a paycheck. Sorry with paycheck which needs to be refunded to the employer by personal check. Stop the fraud, please stop the fraud.

Periodically communicating with members stuck in green card backlog in your community/state takes just couple of minutes in a week and is not demanding at all. This channel takes extremely less time to update yourself with what is going on. So that is the channel we are following at this time to share information. As such we request you to please join the group/team in your local area and use that channel to get the updates. When there is an update that can be shared on the forum, we do post the update for all the members.
I received my green card in June-07 and shared this information on the forum earlier. Well then why dont you picket against NumbersUSA, programmers guild et al too, i can name 20 conservative radio shows try emailing/talking them to change their opinion. I say this because i have emailed to a few and even tho they understand my point of view they will not change something that gets them ratings and propagates their cause.
IV has 25k members, i guess 10% out of those are really motivated to participate and ready do something, if you start diverting your resources towards such issues your team will not have much motivation or people remaining when you really need them to do something. IMO

Hello guys please let me know if i am eligible for filing WoM.
My case details are:
EB2, PD 02/12/2002.
I-485 RD: 06/06/2007 and ND: 06/15/2007
I have converted my EB3 PD to EB2. Last month i applied for EAD renewal thinking that it might trigger my GC approval(some people still believe in this)
Today i received my EAD with 2 yrs extension. I consider this as a bad sign because USCIS clearly states that if the visa is unavailable then they will issue 2 yr EAD.
In my case my PD has been current since i filed 485 except two months in this year when EB2 was U.
I have opened 3SRs(on march, april, june 08), went for infopass once, written letters to 3 senators and 2 representatives on july 7th, 2008, sent fax to NSC, also sent letters to NSC and NSC director twice, called NSC several times. I could not get any status update other than the regular response(case is pending and waiting to be assigned)
After taking all these efforts i recently received response for one of the SRs(for june 08) stating these type of cases taking time for approval and i need to wait patiently.
I dont know if i can wait anymore because i have been waiting for close to 7 yrs.
Now in this situation can you guys please let me know what i should do and what should be my next move?
Do you guys think i am eligible to file WoM? if yes please guide me on how to do it.
