Be polite. Don't make personal attacks on Lou Dobbs and WWJ. Don't threaten them. Nicely but firmly let them know that their one-sided coverage of "Populism" without covering the views of Immigrants provides a biased view to their patrons. Let them know that such anti-Immigrant coverage has the potential of provoking/inciting attacks against foreigners. WWJ would be responsible indirectly and liable if "Lou Dobbs show" leads to such attacks by misguided elements fired by Mr. Dobbs rhetoric.
Ask them -
1) What actions are WWJ taking to provide coverage of the other point of view, in the interests of fairness?
2) What actions is the network taking to ensure that Lou Dobbs verbal attacks on foreigners do not translate into physical attacks on foreigners living in Michigan?

I doubt anyone will want to go hungry for a greencard. People say a lot of things but they do not do it. All these people talking for a rally will not even show up for a rally when it is held. They are too scared to come out and show their faces to the media.

I can think of following reasons in the order of relevence :
- We've got highest level of tolerence in the world as individuals and as society (probably that's why british could rule for 150 years :) ) and please don't shoot me, i'm not saying it's bad. just a fact.
- Feeling of insecurity because of being in a foreigner country or because of not being a part of majority.
- lack of knowledge of our rights/duties which sometimes causes guilty feeling when you think "I'm objecting to something that i agreed to whole heartedly, yesterday".
- going to court/authorities is considered bad in many culstures (as a famous Marathi saying goes "a wise man should not climb court's door-stpes ")
- "I don't have time", "I don't wan't the hassle" or "Jaane do" attitude.
- Is there anyone who still thinks along the lines of "maine aapka namak khaaya hai.." ? i don't think so.

For those who filed the substitution I-140 petition, the proposed rule provided that only "substitution approved" on the date of publication of the rule would survive. Substitution approved can be interpreted to mean approval of the substitution I-140 petition. For the 45-day validity of the certified labor certification, under the proposed rule, the certified labor certification on the date of publication was supposed to have 45 days to file the I-140 petitions. For the labor certifications which are approved after publication of the final rule must file the I-140 petitions within 45 days from the date of certification.
The DOL could have changed part of the proposed rules in the final rule and the readers are cautioned to wait for the release of the final rule before they jump into any conclusion and take a misguided action.

I have come across at least one-colleague in every client place who left U.S.A - after being here for more than 7 years. And they do have children, houses and handsome salaries. And I know of number of people who have plans to eventually go back. But it's just matter of time and money. If property prices were not crazy in India, I am sure more people would have left by now.

I thought people came here for economic reasons(mostly), now it looks like we cannot afford good property inn India and are not going back.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.
This is my 140 status from start, people say that Department of state is not normal. i opened a SR on 10/15/2009 and the status of my case is

Understood. Now you want all H1 L1 B1 everything to be stopped. So lets vote only for EAD/AP/GC till you get your GC. After that US should stop GC also, right? (but ofcourse, naturalization still should remain open for a few more years).
If one person can work for your job at $8/hr, and you are charging $100/hr, market would adjust itself to $8/hr (for a moment forget about who does this $8/hr, it can be a high-school kid, or anybody).The only reason why somebody blames that $8/hr kid for loosing his job is because he "thinks" he is "superior" to that kid. There are many situations where companies decide to retain "fresh college grads" and layoff "senior experienced" persons, to save money.
Don't take me wrong, but I also think the L1 is mis-used a bit. But I personally think the mis-usage comes from other factors (like H1 unavailability, employer prefer L1 because employee cannot change to another employer in L1, other H1 restrictions) etc..
.....I wish this bill passes with full effect
